Shield: Or on a Chevron Azure between three Lions’ Heads erased proper as many Annulets of the field a Chief embattled Gules thereon a Wreath of Oak of the first between a representation of the Gold Medal pendant from a Ribband Gules fimbriated of the second charged with the Gold Clasp of distinction presented to the said Sir Richard Hussey Vivian by His Majesty’s Command for his Services at the Actions fought with the enemy at Sahagun and Benevente and Others on the dexter and a representation of the Silver Medal pendant from a like Ribband presented to the said Major General for his Services at the memorable Battle of Waterloo and beneath it the word Waterloo in letters of Gold on the sinister.

The Vivian family of Glynn and Truro are descendants of Sir Hussey Vivianw (1775-1842), eldest son of John Vivianw, founder of the Swansea Vivians.
